Carlos Santana

Ayer tuve la oportunidad de ir a ver a Santana en concierto, simplemente excelente. La hora marcada para el inicio del concierto eran las 9pm, y como todo buen panameño, iba llegando con mis amigos a las 9 y 15… desgraciadamente, por primera vez en la vida deciden empezar el show a la hora indicada y nos perdimos las primeras dos canciones, pero de alli en adelante fue increible.

El Figalli Convention Center no se lleno a capacidad, pero aquello se notaba que no era un concierto normal, se podian ver padres con sus hijos, grupos de personas de todas las edades, y de toda variedad.

En las dos horas que duró el concierto tocó una selección de sus exitos, que incluyó varias canciones del album “Supernatural” y tambien sus temas viejos conocidos por todos. Hasta Rubén Blades tubo su momento para cantar 2 canciones en el concierto, que de hecho se escucharon muy bien..

En general es un show que no pueden perderse si tienen la oportunidad de asistir, no saldrán decepcionados.

Y como cuando una compañia de “Hardware” y/o “Software” como Apple saca un sistema de musica de compra por Internet que no tiene nada que ver con lo que esa compañia ha hecho durante toda su vida (según mi corto conocimiento); TODO el mundo piensa que puede hacer lo mismo y triunfar..

Cerati estubo en concierto ayer aqui en la ciudad de Panamá, y bueno que puedo decir, mi novia es fan, asi que estubimos alli. No me gusto mucho, a pesar de que escuché Soda Estereo por muchos años y los cd’s de Cerati como solista no estan del todo mal, esperé ver otro tipo de concierto.

En escena estubo Cerati con una guitarra a veces, un bajo, la bateria, una corista, y 2 sintetizadores/teclados/consolas… todas las canciones tubieron ese toque electronico que a mi gusto daño el concierto.. y digo a mi gusto por que a mi compañero de trabajo le gusto, a mi novia le gusto, a mi jefe le gusto, y pareciera que soy el unico que salió decepcionado del concierto :( Bleh

Leyendo las noticias ultimamente me eh enterado varias cosas sobre el ya viejo problema de SCO, IBM, y Linux sobre el codigo de UNIX… pero lo interezante al respecto es que toda la bulla, las demandas y contrademandas, reuniones y analisis solo eran una pantalla a la verdadera razón de SCO… cobrar por el uso de Linux. Lo cual no solo me parece sin sentido, de muy mal gusto y muy rebuscado, si no que ademas me parece la peor manera de darse a conocer y de tratar que las personas confien en tu empresa… pero como dicen por alli, no hay publicidad mala…

Empyrium

Desde pequeño he sido fan de un estilo de música que por su contenido instrumental y melodías me ha cautivado. Ha sido llamado de muchas maneras, y parece que cada banda que sale, le pone un nombre nuevo, yo prefiero llamarlo ‘death metal’. Y Empyrium es una banda exponente de este genero.

Una de mis bandas favoritas. Todavia recuerdo el final de los 80s, cuando entraba a secundaria escuchando esta banda. Para mi eran lo maximo y a pesar del tiempo la sigo considerando una de las mejores bandas de todos los tiempos.
